During your free consultation, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for and help match you with a therapist who specializes in your needs. We accept most major insurance plans and also offer sliding scale options. Check here to see all of our insurance options.
Regular therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes, once a week or every other week. EMDR intensives are longer, concentrated sessions (often 3-5 hours) designed to process trauma more deeply in a shorter timeframe. Intensives can be especially helpful for single-incident trauma or when you need focused healing work. We’ll help you determine which approach is right for you.
Both options are available. We offer secure telehealth sessions anywhere in California, as well as in-person sessions at our Fresno office. Many clients appreciate the flexibility of switching between formats based on their schedule and needs.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people come for a few months to work through a specific issue. Others engage in longer-term therapy for ongoing support. You’re in control of your timeline. We’ll check in regularly about your progress and goals, and you can adjust as needed.
This is actually really common, and it doesn’t mean therapy can’t work for you. It often means the approach, therapist, or fit wasn’t right. Our specialized training in trauma, evidence-based methods, and affirming care creates a different experience. We’re also happy to talk about what didn’t work before so we can approach things differently.
